In just her second week in office, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass met with a delegation from Governor of California Gavin Newsom’s Administration, led by Lourdes Castro Ramírez, the Secretary of the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency. Mayor Bass continues her work to bring to bear a “whole of government” approach to Los Angeles’ homelessness crisis following unanimous votes on her homelessness strategy from the Los Angeles City Council and County Board of Supervisors.

Representatives from the State Housing and Community Development Department, the State Housing Finance Agency, the State Civil Rights Department, the L.A. County Homeless Initiative, the L.A. County Development Authority, Los Angeles Homeless Service Authority, and various city departments were also in attendance.
Ella Bee Media Group’s, MELANATED NEWS YOU CAN USE was there to catch the meeting’s opening remarks from Mayor Bass and Secretary Ramirez.
