Mayor Karen Bass spent the day with Jeff Olivet, the Executive Director of the United States Council on Homelessness, as she continues to lock arms with the City, County and Federal governments to confront Los Angeles’ homelessness crisis.
Mayor Bass and Mr. Olivet met with service providers and government partners to discuss federal policy regarding homelessness and substance abuse.
Mayor Bass and Mr. Olivet also visited the Hilda Solis Care First Village to see first hand the innovative interim housing built from shipping containers that provides housing for unhoused residents of Los Angeles.
