? TALENT SPOTLIGHT on Khaliya Muhammad from the latest season of “Why Not Us: Southern Dance” streaming exclusively on ESPN+ featuring the Fabulous Dancing Dolls of Southern University showcasing the ethos of being a student-athlete on a historic dance line at an HBCU!

This week’s all-new episode number four profiles Khaliya Muhammad and will air on Thursday, September 1st.

“This is my first homecoming, so my main goal is to just stand out, and make a statement. I just want to prove to everybody that I’m here. I’ve learned that as a person growing up in Chicago in the dance world, being black, being a black female, like, whatever you do just go hard. Or go home.”

Khaliya was featured as a sophomore at Southern University during her second year with the Dancing Dolls. Growing up in Chicago, Khaliya and her family made the decision to express her talents as a dancer at an HBCU to foster her creativity, and found that in the Southern University Dancing Dolls. Although she didn’t have the opportunity to showcase her talents and hard work during last year’s homecoming, she’s rearing to make a show-stopper out of this year’s performance.

Check out the fourth episode of Why Not Us Season Three: Southern Dance, premiering on ESPN+ this Thursday, and hear a little more about this talented sophomore.
