She is a creator, executive producer, writer and star of the comedy series “The Upshaws” and can be seen in the upcoming series “History of the World; Part II.” Her credits also include the stand-up special “Wanda Sykes: Not Normal,” “The Other Two” and “Monster-in-Law.”
Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes will host the 94th Oscars®, show producer Will Packer announced today. This will be the first time hosting the ceremony for each of them. The Oscars will air live on ABC and broadcast outlets worldwide on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Since my agency focuses on #HollywoodxSports I want to highlight some of the noteworthy films ahead of the awards ceremony. Here are some of the nominees and my favorite picks:

What did I just witness.? Will Smith just tapped back in to his Muhammad Ali role, protecting his wife from a cruel joke from presenter Chris Rock. As Rock made his way around the room cracking jokes, the camera panned over to Will and Jada calling her out for G.I. Jane 2. I’m not sure if it was because of her recent hair cut or the emerald green dress color she was wearing, but Will Smith immediately gets up from the audience-which is in a more intimate setting due to what I am sure is COVID restructions for social distancing. Yes, we are in the final 1/3 hour of the show but what a way to lead into the IN MEMORIAMS, with Chris Rock’s face discombobulated. I’ve live blogging while conversing with a friend on the East Coast and with that nearly 12 second delay-she did not see the reaction.

Thank you @WillSmith #WillSmith #ProtectBlackWomen by any means necessary. Black people defending themselves is so foreign that the world is confused by a Black Man defending the honor and protection of his wife, @JadaPinkettSmith.
@ChrisRock #ChrisRock and @TheAcademy #Oscars should apologize to #JadaPinkettSmith and all guests for a crude and cruel awards show. Regina Hall groping men on stage and there was an overall mean spirit from the hosts. SHAME on #WillPacker and #ShaylaCowan for allowing distasteful jokes to slide through. After a global pandemic and racial reckoning that has yet to receive reparations, Black people are sick and tired of smiling off abuse, violent rhetoric and racist jokes in #Hollywood especially after a long and arduous awards show season where even Venus and Serena Williams have been attacked by subliminal messages within an acceptance speech. ⚠️YOU’VE ALL BEEN PUT ON NOTICE that we are not a passive people like the film industry loves to portray the Indigenous American as. It’s time to drop the slave myths and false narratives about how we are non-violent in protecting our ancestral homeland and liberties against racial terrorism. No more clown acts integrated in to the show with cheap shots against the very same talent being celebrated. No more Sammy Davis Jr. smiling through ridicule and humiliation. No more just sitting by, idle while they have their knee on our collective necks for more than 9 minutes. It’s a new day. Mind your tongue and watch how you talk to us. We are sensitive souls and racial terrorism will not be tolerated.
