The Los Angeles Police Academy recognized and acknowledged 41 police officers and 1 Los Angeles Airport police officer at its Elysian Park Academy for those who did not receive a formal graduation ceremony during their time in the Academy due to COVID restrictions.
Mayor Karen Bass gave remarks at the LAPD makeup Academy graduation ceremony for recruits whose traditional ceremonies were not held because of Covid-19 protocols.
LAPD Chief Michel Moore, Representatives from the LAPD Board of Commissioners, Representatives from the Mayor’s Office in Mayor Bass and the LAPD Command Staff were all in attendance.
